Economic and Environmental Benefits
• Construction of the Project will require local and regional labor as well as logistic and materials resources;
• Tax Payments and Impact Fees will be paid to the local communities;
• Operation and maintenance of the Project will require 8 to 10 full time employees;
• The Project will provide the Mid-Atlantic Region with supply of domestically generated, clean electricity and may act as a hedge against rising natural gas, oil, coal or plutonium variable pricing.
• The Project if built at the full 200 MW would offset;
- CO2 emissions by approximately 480,000 tons per year
- SO2 emissions by approximately 2160 tons per year
- NOx emissions by approximately 960 tons per year
