| The Highland Wind Project is located near the town of Krayn in Southwestern Pennsylvania. The project is situated on a reclaimed strip-mine and near a municipal utility. Electric transmission passes through the site and provides a convenient point of interconnection. Project Characteristics Location: Cambria County, Pennsylvania Project Size: 62.5 MW in Phase I; 73 MW in Phase II Developer: EverPower Owner: EverPower Wind Holdings, Inc. Economic and Environmental Benefits • Construction of the project utilized millions in local goods and services purchases. • The operation and maintenance of the project employs 6 full-time employees. Phase two will employ an additional 2-4 people when completed. • Compared to traditional power generation technologies, Phase I of the Highland Project will offset; - CO2 emissions by nearly 400 million pounds per year - SO2 emissions by nearly 3 million pounds per year - NOx emissions by over 800,000 pounds per year |
